2026-09-11 - Site Update: 2026 Dashboard Alignment, Colors, & More
It's been a moment since we've updated the site, but with the XBOX dashboard in a new state, with new customization options, we've brought over improvements to ConsoleDash to accommodate.
First, we've refreshed all the dashboard previews to reflect the changes XBOX has made to the dashboard. The difference is subtle, but we're up to date again now. Plus, we've made some changes to the way the site works to (hopefully) make it easier to update in the future, should the dashboard change again.
Second, we've brought over the updated personalization colors from XBOX, including the option to set your own custom UI color. To use this feature, navigate to any wallpaper preview, click the "Theme color" drop-down, then scroll to the bottom and select "Custom". This will make a new color control appear which should help you find the perfect color for your dashboard UI.
Along with the updated colors come updated wallpapers! We've re-rendered all of the current sets with the new colors, and hope to add more soon. We've also transitioned to using JPG files for wallpapers, so downloads will be much faster. We've done a lot of work to make sure the quality of the original PNG files was retained.
The how-to section of the website has been overhauled with more clear instructions and now includes screenshots. We've also outlined two methods for getting custom wallpapers onto your XBOX, so be sure to check that out.
In addition to these larger changes, we've made several improvements to the website that should make it load faster, jump around less when loading, and be a bit more accessible.

2026-01-15 - New Wallpaper: Retro Grid
We've added a new wallpaper featuring a retro design, for all the 80's and 90's kids out there - or anyone who wants to re-live that era via their XBOX dashboard. Party on, XBOX players!
2026-01-05 - Site update: Request form
We've made a small change to the request page to clarify that we don't make wallpaper sets for IP outside of XBOX. Apologies to anyone who made such a request, but we prefer to keep things solely XBOX-related here!
2025-03-12 - New Wallpaper: Ice Cubes
We've added a new wallpaper featuring a jumble of ice cubes, in all the XBOX dashboard colors. Add some ice to your dashboard and keep your XBOX (at least, looking) cool with this new set!
2025-02-24 - New Wallpaper: Glowing Liquid
Inspired by the glowing glob of fluid from the original XBOX, we've added a new wallpaper featuring a mysterious glowing liquid. Adorn your XBOX dashboard with wetness in the safest way possible!
2025-02-19 - New Wallpaper: Neon Xbox
We've added a new wallpaper! This new set features a neon XBOX logo set against a wet concrete wall, with rain falling in front and a wispy fog making the neon glow in the dim light.
As you might've guessed, this one was created from a similar setup as the Neon Rain set, but with a different camera view and re-worked neon shapes.

2025-02-18 - Site Update: Request form & privacy policy
We've made another site update!
The site now contains a request form so you can submit new ideas to us. User feedback has always been a key part of our process, so we're happy to hear about your wallpaper ideas and we'd love to make them a reality!
We've also added a privacy policy page, to accommodate the new request form. Here, we explain how we use data you submit to us via the request form, and include some information about hCaptcha, which we're using to secure the form.
We strive to make this as straightforward as possible, and we hope that you appreciate our commitment to your privacy.
2025-02-17 - Site Update: Live Wallpaper Preview
We've made some improvements to the site, the biggest of which is a new live wallpaper preview!
Wallpaper pages now show a live preview area at the top, where you can select your XBOX UI theme color and match it with any of the variants of that wallpaper. Once you've found a good combo, you can click the new button to the side which will let you download that variant straightaway.
We've also made a minor change to the color names. The color previously known as "orange" was just a little too red, and the color previously known as "gold" often looked a little too much like what we would consider orange, so we've changed "orange" to "vermilion" and "gold" to "orange". We hope this change makes the color naming a little more authentic and sensible.
We're working on adding more features to the website, and of course more wallpapers, so stay tuned!
2025-02-13 - Updated Wallpaper: Digital Camo
We took a one-off wallpaper that we developed for previous a XBOX dashboard version and gave it a modern update with folded fabric, lighting, and more. Enjoy adding some digital camo to your Xbox now!
2025-02-12 - Updated Wallpaper: Pegs
The "pegs" wallpaper from a past series has been cleaned up and updated for the current dashboard! The new set features higher fidelity 3D models, more details in the props, and as always, output at 4k resolution.
2025-02-11 - New Wallpapers: Neon Rain & Pillows
We've added two new wallpaper sets, Neon Rain and Pillows! These were both based on work from a previous project, but are now reconfigured and re-tooled for the XBOX dashboard.
2025-02-06 - Site Launch
A few years ago, I got into making dashboard wallpapers for my fellow XBOX fans. I’ve made a lot of them over the years, and now I’ve finally created a dedicated space to host and share them with the community.
Today, ConsoleDash.com is officially launching! This website is a resource to help XBOX users give their console dashboard a fresh, personalized look via custom, high-quality wallpapers. To commemorate the site launch, I’ve recreated and updated many of the more prolific designs that I made for previous XBOX dashboard versions. I plan to keep adding more as ideas strike me (and time permits).
Thanks to everyone who has encouraged me to create and update these things over the years, and I hope that you find a wallpaper here that you love for your XBOX!
